Actress Raveena Tandon visited CritCare Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday afternoon to meet her ‘Akhiyon Se Goli Maare’ co-star Govinda, who underwent emergency surgery following an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound to her leg.
After leaving the hospital, Raveena spoke to Govinda and shared about him.
“He looked better. He’s fine. I wish him a speedy recovery,”
she said.

Raveena and Govinda were some of the biggest hit jodis of the 1990s, giving them a string of hits like Teta No. 1, Dulhe Raja and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, among others.
Earlier on Tuesday, filmmaker David Dhawan also visited Govinda in the hospital. The actor and director have worked together on many films like Hero No.1, Coolie No.1, Raja Babu, Partner and Deewana Mastana which have achieved cult status over the years.
Earlier, Govinda’s wife Sunita spoke to the media and expressed her gratitude to the supporters for their support and assured everyone that Govinda is recovering well.
“He is better. Today we will admit him to the normal ward. He is much better than yesterday. He will be discharged tomorrow. He has recovered with everyone’s blessings… He has great fans so people are praying for him… I would like to say to the fans that they didn’t give up, they didn’t panic, it’s okay,” she said.

The incident occurred around 4:45 am on Tuesday when Govinda’s licensed revolver accidentally discharged while he was putting it back in the cupboard, according to the Mumbai police. At that time he was preparing to leave for Calcutta.
Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, told ANI over phone, “Govinda was preparing to leave for Kolkata and was putting his licensed revolver back in the cupboard when it slipped from his hand and the gun went off, hitting him in the leg. The doctor removed the bullet and his condition is stable.
Hours after the incident, Govinda thanked the doctor who treated him and his supporters in an audio message. “Hi Govinda here. With the blessings of my fans, my parents and God I am doing better now. I was hit by a bullet which has already been removed. Thanks to the doctor here Dr. Agarwal ji, thank you all for your prayers,” Govinda said in Hindi.
Politician Kripa Shankar Singh also met Govinda on Wednesday morning.
“He is fine. I thank the doctors for taking care of him. He will be discharged soon,” Kripa Shankar told the media after meeting the actor.
